NELSON MANDELA

TURNING POINT OF HIS LIFE


1. Mandela became involved in politics, and along with his good friend and comrade Oliver Tambo was expelled from Fort Hare for organising a student strike. However Mandela was able to finish his degree and qualified as a Lawyer. 

2.In 1944 Mandela helped found the ANC Youth League, whose Programme of Action was adopted by the ANC in 1949.

3. By the late 50s the S.A.state had become increasingly repressive making it more difficult for the ANC to operate. Mandela had to resign from the ANC and work underground.

  1.  In 1952 Mandela and Tambo opened the first Black Law firm in South Africa.
  2.  10 May 1994 Nelson Mandela was inaugurated as the first democratically elected State President of South Africa on and was President until June 1999.
  3.  In 1993 Nelson Mandela was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize

1918- Born at Qunu in South Africa

1944- Helped found the ANC Youth League 

1949- ANC Youth League Programme of Action was adopted by the ANC

1950-1959- Mandela had to resign from the ANC and work underground

1952- Mandela opened the first Black Law firm in South Africa

1962- Arrested and sentenced for life

1990- Released from jail

1994-1999- First democratically elected State President Of South Africa. As president, Mandela presided over the transition from minority rule and apartheid. His advocacy of reconciliation led to international acclaim and importantly the trust of the White African population. Despite the initial euphoria of winning the election the ANC faced a difficult challenge to improve the lives of the black population

1.  He dissatisfied of his job and he resigned in 1927.  

2.  Gorge Orwell decided to became a writer i believe that decision Changed his life therefore he became a one of the greatest writers of the 20th century . That decision marked a turning point of his life.

4.  1934 He got a part time job in a second hand book shop.

5.  His first book was published  in 1933 DOWN AND OUT IN PARIS AND LONDON.

6.  His first novel BURMESE DAY was published in 1934. 

7.  He worked for the BBC. 

8.  Towards the end of his life he became a literary editor.

 1932-1933   Worked as a teacher.

 1934-   He get a part time job in a second hand work shop.  

1933 -   His first book published.(Down and Out in Parise and Landon) 

1934 -  His first novel was published.
 

1935-     Another novel published.

 1936-    He married with Eileen.

1936 -    Wrote a book about poverty England. 

1937-     He left for Spain to fight for the Spain civil war. 

1937 -     The rod to wigan plre was published.

1938  -    Altomage to catalonia published.

  

1938 -     He was suffering from tuberculosis. 

1938-1939   - He spent time in the Morocco.

1939-      Coming up for air was published. 

1941-1943   He worked for the BBC.

 1943    -   He became literary editor.
   

1945-    His grate satire animal farm was published.

 1949-    Masterpiece 1984 was published.

 1949-    He married his second wife Sonia. 

1950-     He died.

 Visual

If you are a visual learner, you learn by reading or seeing pictures. You understand and remember things by sight. You can picture what you are learning in your head, and you learn best by using methods that are primarily visual. You like to see what you are learning.
